Permacrib Offers Our Customers a Number of Distinct Advantages

Phi Group offers a comprehensive range of services and systems to Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Customers including Timber Crib Retaining Walls, Noise Barriers and Soil Panels.

Phi Group uses the most affordable, longest lasting, New Zealand manufactured materials.

Aesthetics / Environmental

Manufactured from NZ's renewable forestry resources. Permacrib has been used internationally for over 25 years in NZ, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, UK, USA, Korea, Ireland, France, Norway, Denmark, and Hungary to name a few. Permacrib provides an attractive natural timber finish. Compared to other retaining wall systems, the softer appearance of Permacrib can be even further enhanced by selective planting on the face of the structure. This ability to permanently support vegetation affords Permacrib great versatility over a range of landscaping options.

125 Year Life

Permacrib has BBA approval to 125 years and NZ's Forest Research Institute has concluded... 'That the in-service life of Permacrib will be indefinite. Certainly, the performance data indicates that a life of 125 years can be expected.'

Permacrib components are covered by our standard 50 year guarantee against termite attack and timber decay.

Ease of Construction

Permacrib construction is simple and can be undertaken by any competent builder or even home handyman. For larger or more complex walls there is a network of experienced Permacrib contractors nationwide.

Economy

In spite of it's many advantages, Permacrib remains one of the lowest cost retaining wall options available in NZ.

Technical Construction

Using Permacrib custom design software our Civil/Geotechnical Engineers can provide complimentary technical assistance through to full design and working drawings as required. Phi Group can also facilitate a turn-key design / supply / construct service using experienced Permacrib installers.
